The South Korean won traded down against the Japanese yen during early Asian deals on Monday. At 10:35 pm ET, the won touched a 5-day low of 14.0905 against the yen, compared to hit late New York Friday. The South Korean currency is currently trading at 14.00 with 14.60 seen as the next target level.

South Korea's current account balance in February shifted to a surplus of 3.68 billion dollars, the Bank of Korea said today, following the 1.64 billion dollars deficit in January.
