Tuesday morning in Asia, the South Korean won edged down against its U.S. counterpart. The won slipped to a 13-day low of 1423.15 against the greenback by 8:05 pm ET and the pair is currently quoted at 1417.50. The dollar-won pair was worth 1392.20 at Monday's North American close.

In economic news, South Korea will provide February numbers for industrial output, leading index and service industry output. Industrial output is expected to retreat 16.6 percent on year after the 25.6 percent fall in January. The leading index was down 4.5 percent in the previous month, while service industry output is expected to fall an annual 2 percent.
