South Korea's exports rose 47.1% in January from a year earlier compared with a previous 32.8%, but it came lower than analysts' estimates of 55.0%. Exports recorded $31080 million in January from a prior $36010 million. Imports gained 26.7% in January from a year ago, after it inclined 23.9%m while forecasts referred to 27.2%, worth mentioning that imports recorded $31550 million.

Yet, the Korean trade balance showed a deficit of $470 million in January following a surplus of $3089 million.
