S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures pared gains after disappointing jobless claims data on Thursday.

The number of U.S. workers filing new applications for unemployment insurance unexpectedly rose last week by 12,000 to a seasonally adjusted 472,000.

S&P 500 futures was up 1.4 points and were slightly above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures gained 56 points and Nasdaq 100 futures added 4.25 points.
