S&P hits lowest since March as fears persist
The S&P 500 extended its slide to a fourth day on Monday, hitting the lowest level since March as a spate of weak U.S. data has supported the bearish outlook for the economy.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 60.85 points, or 0.50 percent, at 12,090.41, according to the latest available figures. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 14.00 points, or 1.08 percent, at 1,286.16. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was down 30.22 points, or 1.11 percent, at 2,702.56.
