The Spanish treasury auctioned 1.93 billion euros of three- and six-month debt in an auction that saw strong demand and rise in yields.

The yield on the three-month notes soared to 0.634% from 0.381% with bid to cover ratio of 7.6 times from 3.5 times at a prior auction while six-month securities produced a yield of 1.58% from 0.84%, where the bid to cover ratio was 3.3 from 5.6 in March.
