Wednesday, Spain's National Institute of Statistics said in a report that the industrial price index dropped 1.1% year-over-year in February, after falling 0.5% in January. Economists were looking for a decline of 0.8% for February. A year ago, industrial prices were up 6.3%.

In February, industrial prices for manufacturing fell 4.1% annually, while mining and quarrying prices increased 1.9%.

On a monthly basis, industrial prices remained stable in February, after a 0.4% rise in the previous month.
