RTTNews - Monday, a flash estimate from the National Statistical Institute or INE said that Spain's harmonized index of consumer prices dropped 1% year-over-year in June, compared with a 0.9% fall in the previous month.

Spain's HICP dropped for the fourth month in a row and the latest decline is the biggest since the series started in 1997. The first on-year decline in the index was in March, when it dropped just 0.1%.

The statistical office is set to release the final numbers on July 10.
