RTTNews - The decline in Spanish house prices quickened in the second quarter to mark the biggest fall on record, official data showed Wednesday.

House prices fell 8.3% year-on-year in the second quarter following a revised 6.5% contraction in the first quarter and a 2.8% fall in the fourth quarter of 2008, the Housing Ministry said.

On a quarterly basis, prices fell at a slower pace of 1.9% compared with a 3% decline in the first quarter.
