Rainbox Six Xbox One bundle
The special "Rainbow Six" bundle for Xbox One. Amazon Italy

Microsoft is apparently planning a new Xbox One bundle, this time trying to get fans of Tom Clancy to purchase the current-generation console. The latest leak has shown a new Xbox One bundle that will come with the recently released “Rainbow Six Siege,” along with backwards-compatible versions of the first two “Rainbow Six Vegas” games.

Should this prove to be true, this will be one of the many Xbox One bundles that are already available for gamers to purchase. GameSpot has confirmed bundles for “Fallout 4,” “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” and much more.

This has become a standard strategy for most of the current-generation consoles, as there are also numerous bundles for the PS4 and Wii U. This is usually done with console exclusive games, like “Splatoon” or “The Last of Us: Remastered” and is an easy way to get consumers interested in the product.

Fans interested in the “Rainbow Six” bundle can take a look at it in Amazon Italy, which essentially confirms that the bundle exists. However, Microsoft has yet to make an official announcement about the bundle, so it can’t be deemed real yet, even if the evidence suggesting that it exists is staggering.

“Rainbow Six Siege” received mixed reviews upon release, but the reaction was mostly positive. Critics praised the game’s multiplayer, but stated that the game lacks enough variety to make it unique. The verdict seems to be that it’s a competent shooter, but nothing more than that.

Downloadable content (DLC) is planned for “Siege,” so there will be even more content for the player to try out. This might not solve the variety problem that some critics have with it, but it does add more things to do for fans of the game.

The bundle looks like a worthwhile one for Tom Clancy fans and the backwards-compatible games are icing to the cake. It will be interesting to see if “Rainbow Six Vegas” and its sequel become available for purchase outside of this bundle. For now, fans can only hope that Microsoft officially announce the bundle so that they can order it.
