More Quarter finalists are emerged after yesterday’s game, Ghana and Mali qualified from their group after their final games. Ghana defeated Niger republic by 3 -0, That is quite huge for a team very lean in their striking options, Asemoah Gyan scored the first goal of the game and his first in the tournament, subsequently he turned provider for Portuguese based midfielder Christian Atsu who chested ball before poking it into the net, John Boye wrapped things up when he tapped in a rebound from Asemoah Gyan’s header. With the victory, Ghana would meet the second place Cape Verde in Quarter finals. In the other game Mali force the DR Congo to a 1-1 draw. The draw was enough for the Malian to go through as they had won their opening game against Niger . DR Congo initially looked the team to qualify after scoring first from a penalty, but the hard fight Malian team levelled back with 11 minutes.In group C, Zambia will face Burkina Faso in a crucial encounter, while Nigeria battles Ethiopia.
