Arsenal completed the signing of Spanish midfielder, Cazorla, from Malaga for a reported fee of around £15m. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has penned a long term contract with the Gunners.

“The Club has one of the best managers and their style of play is recognised and admired all over the world.” Cazorla said. “I’m so excited about joining one of the greatest teams on Europe and to be playing in the Premier League”.

According to Cazorla, talks with former Arsenal players, Cesc Fabregas and ex-teammate Robert Pires, also influenced his decision. He will certainly boost the midfield and has already joined the pre-season training camp in Germany, where Arsenal will play a friendly against FC Cologne this Sunday.

Arsene Wenger was equally as complimentary when he described Cazorla as a ‘great signing who will add significant quality to us’.

He is Arsenal’s third arrival this summer after German forward Lukas Podolski (FC Cologne) and French striker Oliver Giroud (Montpellier). The 5-foot-6 Spanish international has won 45 caps for Spain and was also part of the squad that won the European championships this year and in 2008.
