For Arsenal, this transfer window has proved to be rather eventful, in a positive and negative light. You see, with two of their best players leaving last year, and Robin Van Persie looking set to leave the Emirates within the next year, this has made Arsene Wenger take a deep breath, and bring out the thinking cap (or glasses).

Arsenal, are not, in any way, shape or form, a "feeder club". They are, and always have been, one of the greatest clubs on the planet. So how can we let all our players continue to leave to supposedly bigger clubs? We can't. And so, Arsene dug out his short list, and went to work.

So far this summer, as well as the additions of Podolski and Giroud, their No. 6 - Laurent Koscielny, has signed a new five-year deal with the Gunners. Koscielny's re-signing brought good news to Arsenal fans as Koscielny was one of the players to make great strides in North London. At least one player understands what club loyalty is all about, anyway.

It has come to light recently that world class player Santi Cazorla has already agreed to terms with The Gunners, and should be having his medical very soon. Cazorla should be posing in a red shirt before this time next month.

Nuri Sahin, is also available from Real Madrid. He would be the first high class player to be on loan at the Emirates for quite a while, and it would definitely bring Arsenal closer to the holy grail of a Premier League trophy. There was some hold-up over the wages to be agreed, although it looks as though the deal should still go ahead.

The whole Yann M'Vila saga has continued to drag out, without any real confirmation from either club but there have been rumblings that the deal is still very much set to go ahead.

This is turning out to be an extremely eventful summer which the Gunners hope will improve their odds at winning the evasive EPL title.
