Arsenal Transfer Rumors: Gunners Looking To Sign Bayern Munich Midfield Star Luis Gustavo

Arsene Wenger is looking to sign Bayern Munich midfielder, Luiz Gustavo according to The Mirror. Having replaced Alex Song internally while relying on the injury prone Abou Diaby, the need has arrived to sign a powerful midfield presence and Wenger is said to have deemed the 25-year-old Brazilian as the man to add drive and strength in Arsenal's midfield, having been impressed by his performances for German heavyweights, Bayern Munich.

Gustavo - currently injured and expected to be fit after the winter break - is believed to have had several disagreements with Bayern manager, Jupp Heynckes over his role and with the German team doing well currently with a midfield partnership of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez, it will be hard for Gustavo to regain his place.

This has alerted the Arsenal boss who now wants to add Gustavo to his shopping list along with another striker and of course, Thierry Henry for the January transfer window as the Frenchman hopes to seal a deal for around 10 million pounds.
