Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett became the second member of the tattoo club this summer dawning some new ink on his upper chest of a dragon-like image.
The 13-time All-Star joins newcomer Jason Terry in the exclusive ink club and I wonder which current Celtic will be next to join the party. Garnett who re-signed with the club last month for $34 million over three years will look to feed off his incredible playoff run into the 2012-2013 season. The Big Ticket was terrific during the 2012 Playoffs averaging 19.2 PPG and 10.3 RPG in 20 games coming within one game of reaching his third NBA Finals with the Celtics since 2008.
Since coming to Boston prior to the 2007-2008 season, Garnett has changed the culture in Boston transforming the Celtics into one of the elite teams and one of the best defensive clubs with his play and fierce intensity. In his five years with the team, the Celtics have ranked in the top five of opponents points per game each year. He is averaging 15.9 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.8 assists, 1.14 steals and 1.02 blocks in 31.2 minutes during his five seasons in Beantown.
