Bayern Munich in Doha

The current league leader Bayern Munich end festivities and pitched their camp in Doha, Qatar for intensive week long training ahead of the second half of the season. The Christmas has not affect the Bavarians, though with 9 points gap they are out in the best preparation to ensure that they have successful end .Manuel Nuer pointed to the  fact that the sense of togetherness within the team was the key factor in their  trailblazing first half of the season. In other developments, Bayern Munich has completed signing FSV Mainz 05 defender Jan Kirchhoff. His contract with Mainz end this season, therefore making him a free agent

Reuter New Augsburg Sporting Director

Former German International Stefan Reuter has been appointed as the Sporting Director of relegation threatened Augsburg. Reuter is taking over from Jürgen Rollmann who has only spent 3 month at the helm of affairs. Reuter was part of the German national team that defeated Argentina at the 1990 World Cup and Czech Republic at Euro 96. He started his professional career took him to Nuremburg ,Bayern Munich Juventus before spending a lengthy spell with Borrusia Dortmund where he won the Champions league in 1997. He  was Sporting  at 1860 München for over three years, from January, 2006 to February,2009.

In other developments Augsburg has signed American  Michael Parkhurst a free transfer from Danish club Nordsjælland.  The 28 year-old defender brings international, Champions League and Olympic experience to the club.  Augsburg have acquired also Sunderland striker Ji-Dong Won on loan for the remainder of the 2012/2013 season.  The South Korean international has made 18 appearances for his country, and was a goal-scorer for the Bronze Medal winning South Korean side at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Holtby set to leave

Shalke 04 highly rated midfielder Lewis Holtby is set to leave Shalke at the end of the season; the midfielder who father is from England have alerted a lot of English Premiership clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool. Holtby’s father has been an Everton supporter would fancy his son moving to England .Although from an English linage, He has already being capped by the German national. Holty can sign a pre contract agreement with any clubs that meets his aspirations.

Wolfsburg Appoints Dieter Hecking

Dieter Hecking has been appointed as Wolfsburg Manager. Hecking until his appointment was the manger Nuremburg, a position he has held from 2009. He had previously managed VfB Lübeck, Alemannia Aachen and Hannover before taking over in Nürnberg. Wolfburg has been struggling to get their mojo back since winning the Bundesliga in the 2009/10 season. Felix Magath guided the club to win the Bundesliga, but a second spell at the club was a complete irony of the previous one as he could only get 5 point from 8 games. Hecking tenure with Nuremburg has been a success. Nuremburg were usually oscillating between the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga. After leading the club to the play offs, He followed with respectable 6th position in the top flight league. He has successfully transformed Nuremburg into a successful mid table team. Wolfsburg would be a good leap for his managerial career.

Demidov  returns to Spanish La Liga

Norwegian international Vadim Demidov will start the second half of  2012/13 season with premera La Liga outfit Celta Vigo. Demidov signed for Eintracht Frankfurt at the beginning of the season burt has seen his first team opportunities reduced to 5 games this season. He is contracted until 2015

Russ Join Frankfurt on Loan

Marco Russ has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a 6 month loan until the end of the season; The 27 year old player makes a return to the club where he started his football career. The Sport Director Bruno Hübner expressed his delight at having the Wolfsburg defender back. Frankfurt has the option of signing him on permanently.

Hoffmann Joins Hannover 96

Germans under 20 international Andre Hoffmann has joined Hannover 96 on 3 and a half year deal. Hoffman is quite versatile and can play either as a central defender or a holding midfielder.  Andre Hoffmann is a player with great prospects, who we believe can take the next step with us," said Hannover’s sporting director Jörg Schmadtke. 

Augusto Back to Homeland

Renato Augusto returned back to Brazil to team up with newly crowned FIFA Club World Cup champions Corinthians. Renato joined Leverkusen in 2008 and has churned 101 appearances in the Bundesliga. However series of injuries have restricted him to just 6 games this season.
