According to various reports in England on Wednesday morning, Chelsea have made a final offer to Porto in an attempt to gain the services of their Brazilian winger Hulk for a reported fee of around €50 million, which equates to around £39.3million.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has made the 26-year-old versatile attacker his number one priority during the remaining stages of the transfer window and has made his final bid, which almost meets Porto's asking price of just over £40 million.

This week has seen Hulk come out and declare his ambitions to leave the Portuguese club and join either the Premier League or the Spanish La Liga, with the English option being his preference.

On his recent return from performing in the London Olympics, the forward requested talks with Porto officials and is now desperate for a move this summer with Chelsea being front-runners to land his signature.

Abramovich and Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo see Hulk as the missing link in an attacking sense and are prepared to give Porto their aspired asking price for the international winger.

Hulk is an impressive player who terrorises defenders with his pace, skill and power. He is very threatening when cutting in on to his left foot and hitting shots at goal.

Tottenham have also been interested in Hulk, but Chelsea are favourites to land the big forward before the transfer window closes on August 31st.

Chelsea officials will now await Porto's response to their offer before making a decision on whether to move for other proposed targets as they search for more attacking options.
