The last meeting between the two sides produced a thrilling 1-1 draw at the Liberty, the semi final is set to be a cracker in the league cup. Chelsea eased through the quarter final with 5-1 win away at Leeds. While Swansea left it late against Middlesbrough with Seb Hines heading into his own net with ten minutes to go. 

Demba Ba started impressively against Southampton at the weekend with two goals, the Senegalese forward could be set to start alongside Fernando Torres. Chelsea will be keen to get their hands on the League Cup, the last time they won it was 2005. Benitez will surely be hungry for any silverware to persuade Mr Abramovic to keep him on.  The Semi Final of course does give Swansea a chance to win major trophy, something that doesn't come along that often to club of their stature. Michael Laudrup would be viewed as successful Swansea manager if he manages to bring the cup back to South Wales. The Swans could dream of a day as good the 30th May 2011.  The opening leg will be set like chess, each trying to get one over on each other. Chelsea should come out of the blocks to gain the intuitive early on. While Swansea will sit back in the hope of nicking a draw or even 1-0 back to the Liberty.
