English Premier League Weekend Preview

Aston Villa vs Chelsea

As Sir Alex Ferguson would have called it, Chelsea are fast approaching a squeaky bum time. After matches against the likes of Villa and Wigan, Chelsea would approach a run of games which could make or break their season. A return to the league may mark the return of the likes of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.  Chelsea to post a victory at Villa Park.

Everton vs West Brom

The Toffees have a chance to surpass their Merseyside rivals should they come up trumps against a resurgent West Brom side. Everton to overcome the West Brom challenge in this one.

Fulham vs Norwich

Fulham at home have been a completely different side. Martin Jol's men would like to end the run of three defeats. On the other hand Norwich city are just one short of the 40 point magical figure which should safeguard them against relegation. There could be some late goals in this fixture with Fulham registering a win.

Man City vs Sunderland

All the talks of mind games will go away if Man City produces a free flow goal scoring fest that they have done all season. With Sergio Aguero missing this game it gives Carlos Tevez a chance to start. If Sunderland can stop Man City they would have tilted the tile in Manchester United's favor. Predicting City for a easy win.

QPR vs Arsenal

QPR continue their battle for survival in the league against a red hot Arsenal. QPR have just won 2 of their last 18 games. With Djibril Cisse out the striking responsibilities go to Heidar Helguson who is returning from a injury. With Joey Barton in you could expect a bit of theatrics also. QPR could produce a surprise result.

Wigan vs Stoke City

Wigan are on a high after their Anfield victory. A victory could bring Wigan out of relegation zone.  Stoke have an opportunity to put an end to a winless run which has seen them take just two points from their past three matches. Wigan to start as favorites for this match.

Wolves vs Bolton

Wolves continue to be favorites for relegation and things do not look to improve for them. Bolton have a good chance to score 2 consecutive victories and ensure safety.

Newcastle vs Liverpool

Is the Premier league even a priority for Liverpool this season? If their current form is any indicator then we can expect Kenny Dalglish to come up with another reason after this fixture. Newcastle are having their best season since 2003-04. They're definitely a tough side to beat at home, losing only twice in 13 matches. It's hard seeing anyone spoiling Newcastle's successful finish that will be see them reach European competition for the first time since 2006.

Tottenham vs Swansea

Harry Redknapp seem to get his tactics right when Tottenham faced Chelsea last week.Tottenham need to get on a winning track if they wish to attain Champions League Football next season. Swansea have done exceptionally well to be in top half of the League table. Any points gained will be a bonus.

Blackburn vs Manchester United

The league leaders have been in outstanding form when playing away this season. They would like to be at the top with a handy lead before the Manchester Derby. But the games before the derby can prove to be useful in reducing the goal deficit. Blackburn shocked United when the two sides met last. A repeat is highly unlikely this time.

We go one more week closer and the race for the Champions of England gets tighter.
