EPL Transfer News: Chelsea And Manchester United Tracking Paris Saint-Germain Whizz Kid Hervin Ongenda

Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea are both scouting 17-year-old striker Hervin Ongenda from Paris Saint Germain, with a view to offering him a contract in the summer.

According to reports via Talksport and French Newspaper Le Parisien, both the English clubs have been monitoring Ongenda for some time and want to give him a contract. The youngster has yet to sign a professional deal with PSG, and is still only on a youth contract, which has alerted Chelsea and United officials during their tracking missions.

The striker is a highly rated player amongst French pundits and coaches, he made his first team debut during a cup match against Arras last weekend. Seemingly already very sought after, he seems to be mature beyond his years already and is tipped for a bright future.

Ongenda is a France Under 18 International and already has an impressive scoring record at youth International level, getting 11 goals in 13 appearences for the Under-16's and Under 18s. The boy's father, Felix Ongenda had this to say about any proposed move away from the French Capital.

"My son dreams of being on the pitch in Paris, we will see what PSG have to offer in the next few months. But in five months time he would have finished his training and be a finished product, ready to work anywhere in the world".

The quotes certainly did not rule out any move abroad and it seems they will be looking at which clubs can offer them the best deal that will suit the player, his new club and the players progress in the future.

Ongenda will need to keep his feet on the ground and be advised correctly, there is certainly no question about his talent and with the likes of United and Chelsea breathing down their necks, PSG will look to secure a professional deal as soon as possible.
