According to Talksport, there are three top Premier League clubs in the market for the young PSV star, Kevin Strootman. The publication suggests that the 22-year-old is about to become the subject of a £18 million bidding war between the clubs.

It was initially thought that the highly rated Holland International would not be allowed to leave PSV at any price, but inside sources from the Italian media suggest that the club might be willing to accept a deal, if the price is right. Allegedly any offer over £18 million, may well tempt them to do business. Strootman has played his early career in the Dutch league and could be easily tempted away at this stage.

AC Milan were also in for Strootman, but it is thought the player is keen on a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United being his first choice.

Strootman is a dominant central midfield figure, something that United Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been missing from his midfield for some time now. Buying young is also appealing for Ferguson, with the idea of replacing old timers Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes with some young and fresh legs.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has kept a close eye on The Dutchman for some time now and along with many other players, he has certainly been on his shortlist. Whether the Gunners will be prepared to enter a bidding war, reamins to be known.

Strootman has established himself as a regular for the National side since coming through Holland's youth ranks. He has played 15 times for his countries senior team, getting off the mark recently with his first goal for them.

Liverpool are said to be interested as well, but it seems Manager Brendan Rodgers has alternative targets to aim for initially and could well leave this one to the others.
