Manchester City

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has shown that he wants to stay at the club despite the fact being downgraded to the bench for the majority of this season, while Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli receive the size of the playing time for the defending Premier League champions, (Sky Sports follows).

Dzeko has netted three goals and one assists in six English Premier League appearances (two starts) in the 2012-13 beginning of the season. Meanwhile, Argentina pair Tevez and Aguero have combined for five goals and two assists in 11 league appearances, while Balotelli remains goalless despite being selected six times by manager Roberto Mancini.

The 26-year-old Bosnian striker has been linked with a bevy of Europe’s top football clubs over the last few months, with Bayern Munich and Juventus among the interested parties.

Manchester United

Nemanja Vidic's agent has ruled out any possibility of moving from Manchester United to Juventus for his client. Reports suggested that the 30-year-old could be heading to the Serie A champions in the January transfer windows, but the Serbian's Italian agent Silvano Martina has put ended to any rumors linking him away from old Trafford.

Vidic is spending yet more time on the sideline after being ruled out for eight weeks with a knee injury, adding to Sir Alex Ferguson's defensive problems. He also missed the majority of the last English Premier League campaign. All of these injury has sparked doubts over whether Ferguson could get rid of the defender in the New Year.

But, Silvano has said: "Juventus are complete with their non European Union players for this season and it is highly unlikely they will make a bid for Vidic, therefore I can immediately rule out any interest from them. There is no doubt that when fit and at the top of his game, Vidic is one of the best central defenders around and is a real leader in the dressing room" (Daily Mail). Juventus would be surely interested in bringing him to Turin, but it looks to be a non started with the player not wanting to leave, or the club wanting to sell him either.

Del Piero Explains Liverpool Reject

Veteran forward Alessandro Del Piero has explained why he rejected an offer from Liverpool in the summer. The 37-year-old decided to leave Juventus when his contract expired at the end of last season and spent the next few months searching for a new club.

Del Piero ultimately accepted an offer from A-League side Sydney FC, but not after rejecting an approach from Liverpool.

The Reds attempted to sign the Italian forward after the end of the summer transfer window, but the player chose against joining the Premier League side.

"The negotiations with Sydney were at an advanced stage and then I thought about what had happened at Heysel," (Del Piero explained to La Gazzetta dello Sport). "Juventus and Liverpool have been able to reconstruct their relationship, but for many people that tragedy is a permanent memory.

The former Italy international surprised everyone when he decided to leave Juventus after 19 first team seasons at the club and everything suggests he will end his playing career in Australia. During his time in Turin, Del Piero has scored 208 goals in 513 Serie A appearances, winning six league titles in the process.
