Formula 1 :Monaco Grand Prix Results and Review

The Monaco Grand Prix is one race of the season, where glamour, speed and technology all have their day in the sun together.

Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber drove a sensational race to finish first, Nico Rosberg followed in second place and Fernando Alonso took the final podium place.

The weather dictated most of the strategies as drivers went from soft compound to super soft tires. Webber started brilliantly by fending off Lewis Hamilton in the first corner and after pitting for the first time, Vettel took the lead for a few laps. It was evident that the Red Bull team had instructed Webber to hold up the rest of the pack until Vettel pitted and built up a considerable lead before he went for his round of stops. Vettel joined back in before Hamilton or Massa and finished fourth. This superior driving by Webber helped the team gain additional points and kept Rosberg and Alonso at bay.

Rosberg drove an excellent race to finish just .6 seconds behind Webber, however, his teammate Michael Schumacher was not fortunate enough to finish the race. Schumacher was penalized five grid positions after securing a pole in qualifying and later clipped the back of Romain Grosjean before retiring due to fuel pressure issues.

Alonso finished .9 seconds after Webber. Losing his position to Alonso, and later Vettel while not being able to make a formidable run at them was frustrating for Hamilton who eventually finished fifth. Jenson Button in the other McLaren could not finish after colliding with the Caterham of Heikki Kovalainen.

Massa finally scored some decent points for the team, finishing sixth. The Sahara Force India duo of Paul Di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg finished seventh and eighth respectively while Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonnen finished ninth.

Overall, it was an amazing race and as a result of Webber's win, Formula 1 now has seen six different winners in it's first six races.
