It appears as thou the welterweight title bout between Georges St-Pierre vs Nick Diaz will happen, and is being finalised to headline UFC 158 in Montreal, the same card which sees Rory MacDonald vs. Carlos Condit 2.
GSP has only really had eyes for Diaz ever since the Stockton Bad Boy started directing his usual line of verbal abuse to the next intended opponent. The fight is bound to do impressive PPV numbers and will be a guaranteed sell-out.
It's an easy fight for the Canadian, and should follow the same route as Benson Henderson vs Nate Diaz last weekend, which saw Bendo's wresting dominate - as predicted right here.
UFC President Dana White shared his thoughts during the pre-fight press conference for UFC on FOX 5: "Georges St-Pierre has been a phenomenal champion, just a great guy to deal with for us. He doesn't ask for things. So if he wants to fight Nick Diaz, and Nick Diaz wants to fight him, then that's probably the fight we'll make.
"Georges has been off for a year. (Silva is) a tough fight for him to come back to. He asked personally for the (Diaz) fight,” insists White.
