Henning Berg has today been sacked by Blackburn Rovers after just 57 days in charge, following defeat to Middlesbrough. Becoming the second manager to be sacked this season by Rovers after the dismissal of Steve Kean in September, who was also sacked after a defeat to Middlesbrough.
Henning Berg only managed one win in the ten games he managed during his tenure, a 4-1 away success at Peterborough. Berg's reign was never set to be successful. A failed manager in Norway, he was not the correct choice for a team that needs a rebuild. From club legend to club failure, quite a saddening result in the end.
Venky's will be forced once again to look for a replacement. The decision to appoint Berg proved to be a long one, it also proved to be costly. Times are not good at Rovers, increased protest can be expected.
