Keissling Left out again

Stefan Keissling has set the Bundesliga on fire this season but it is still not enough to earn him a call up into the German national team set up, It seem he will always remain in obscurity as long as Jogi Low is still in charge. He has fulfilled everything required of a striker in term of results. He has been inspirational to Bayer Leverkusen success this season – with 16 goals and 6 assist in 25 games this season that’s more than enough to get invited into the team. Low still prefers to stick the old timers who have hit it big on the international scene. Gomez and Marco Reus are still his main choice upfront.

Low believes it is pointless bringing a player he may not use. He admitted himself that Keissling has been good for Leverkusen and he is just Bundesliga player, but he does not believe that the Leverkusen striker has what it take to cut it at the international level. Kiessling will probably have to double his effort despite his superlative form this season to convince Low beyond any reasonable doubt, His team mate Andre Shurlle was however invited for the World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan on the 22nd of March 2013.
