La Liga News: Varane, Isco, Tello Among Top 5 Young La Liga Players

What’s the first thing on your mind when you hear the word “La Liga players” is it Falcao? Cristiano Ronaldo? Lionel Messi? Xavi? Iniesta? I certainly sure, 95 % of you guys would mention one of those names, but people do gets old, and all of those players above can’t always be this skillful, this energetic or this good. Their era will end and a new era will come. Who are the youngsters that ready to shine in this magnificent stage of La Liga? Here i’ve got a list of 5  young players who could shine in this stage of La Liga maybe sooner than we expected.

Raphael Varane

The french starlet has become one of Real Madrid key defenders this season. Maybe the injury problem is a bad thing for Real Madrid, but not for this Real Madrid’s number 2 shirt owner.  After the injury of Marcelo, Fabio Coentrao, and Alvaro Arbeloa, Jose Mourinho is looking for alternatives for his 4 defenders. And finally Mourinho decides to put Sergio Ramos as a right back and put Varane as Pepe’s partner in the middle of their defense. Beating Carvalho for the starting XI spot, Varane proves himself to be a good defender for his age.  Starting from the La Liga match against Deportivo La Coruna which won by Real Madrid (5-1) until the most recent match against Dortmund which ends draw, 2-2, for both sides. His performance has been impressive, in Varane 5 recent matches Madrid got 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 lose,  won against:  Depotivo La Coruna (5-1), Celta Vigo (2-0), and Mallorca (0-5). Lose against Borussia Dortmund (2-1) and draw against the same team (2-2). In the age of nineteen Varane has become a versatile defender with good positioning, heading, and decision making. Maybe Varane is just what Real Madrid needs now, a dependable defender.

Few have known about this spaniards until his performance against Zenit St. Peterbusrgh on champions league. Where he scored 2 goals and become the man of the match, from that moment on is Isco’s time.  The Ex-Valencia reserves team player is said to be a new Xavi or Iniesta. Playing for Spain (U-20) and his brilliant ability on passing, dribbling and ball keeping doesnt take long to make his name known in the football world. Starring in all Malaga’s mathces Isco has given Malaga 2 goals so far with one assist in 10 La Liga matches in additional 2 goals and 2 assists for Malaga in champions league make the Andalusian forgets about Santi Cazorla’s departure. Well, compared to Cazorla Isco is still far away from his standards, but no doubts that he will eventually get there. The 19-years-old attacking midfielder have helped Malaga to sit on the 5th possition in La Liga and 1st in Champions League group C. Good skill and young age, there’s still more to come from Isco and for sure, worth the wait.

Iker Muniain

Been playing for Athletic Bilbao since he was in reserves team and make his way to the senior team. Helping Athletic Bilbao to be the European league champion on 09/10 and giving the spain Jr teams (U-19 & U-17) each one trophies, on 2009 for the spain U-17 and on 2010 for spain U-20. Stepping up from the Athletic Bilbao youth team now he is considered as one of the brightest prospect for spain. After being called for Spain U-17 and then U-19, now Muniain is eyeing the senior team.  Being globally recognized as one of the brightest prodigy make big european clubs want to bring him to their teams, the recent rumour on him is that Manchester United would be interested to sign him, even Ferguson labelled him as “the next Ronaldo”. Ferguson not putting that label on this 19 years old guy for nothing. Marvelous dribbling skills, sharp passes and highly creative are his attributes that will make him one of the best attacking Midfielder for the upcoming years.

Cristian Tello

The la Masia youngster catches the eyes of the world. Debuting for Barcelona on the Copa Del Rey match against L’Hospitalet showed that this guy is a promising prospect. Showing his key passes on that match, his ball keeping, his decision making, makes him said as another rising players from La Masia. This season, as Guardiola resigned, Tito Villanova almost sell him to the Premier league sides, Arsenal or liverpool. But, at the very last minute he changed his mind and bring Tello as the last player to be registered for Barcelona squad this season. “Why?” is a very good question, Barcelona already has Alexis Sanchez, Lionel Messi, David Villa, stars that calibre yet Villanova choose to keep the 21-years-old player. But as the season starts, Tello show that it is the right decision for Villanova to bring him along with the first team. So far Tello has given Barcelona 1 goal and 2 assists in his 4 appearances for Barcelona in La Liga, and at the european stage? 1 goal and 1 assist in 1 match! His moment was that when Barcelona face Spartak Moscow in European Champions League match.  Tello gives Barcelona an early lead, but Dani Alves’s mistake that lead to an own goal makes Barcelona need to work their way up for victory. Again, Borges Romulo silences the Cules by scoring another goal and just like that Barcelona is trailling one goal behind. Tello brilliant play and his passes makes Lionel Messi scored another goal that makes it even again. If it wasn’t for Tello’s goal and assist, Barcelona would lose 2-1 to this Russian sides, but there goes this boy proving to the world that there is more to Barcelona than just Lionel Messi. And now, Tello is stepping up to be one of the best forwards in the world.

Sofiane Feghouli

“The algerian Zidane”. That’s how people labelled him and why is that he is labelled as the Algerian Zidane? First, his nationality, he was born in Algerian but he also has France as his nationality, just like Zidane, french and algerian. But there’s more thank just the nationalities, playing in the same position as Zidane, midfield, he has the same dribbling style as Zidane, quick and hard to stop. Not only his dribbling style but also his deadly shoot. Well, he might havent reached Zidane’s level, but he is already making his way to there! Having this kind of skill in such a young age (22) gives him plenty of time to improves and Im sure, by looking at his progress now, he would do big in the future. Transferred from the french sides Grenoble Foot 38 for FREE he doesnt know what is ahead, but getting the offer from such a big club like Valencia, why not? He went to Valencia on July, 2010. Then not instantly makes him a regular member for the El Che. Loaned to Almeria on the 10/11 Valencia know that letting this guy go will be a bad decision, and on 11/12 Valencia call him back and that season, he is one of the key players for Valencia. Starting in 37 ganes for Valencia and 12 as subtitues, Feghouli scored 6 goals and 5 assists. And this season, he becomes an irreplaceable part for Valencia, starting for Valencia 7 times he makes 3 goals and 1 assist, also helps Valencia to survive in Champions league big stage by scoring 2 goals and 1 assist in his 4 matches with Valencia. He has the perfect start to be a big player, what does he need now? Time and trust. Everything will be paid-off.
