Arsenal long term summer target Nuri Sahin has finally agreed to join Liverpool on a season long loan from Spanish Champions Real Madrid. The 23-year-old passed a medical at Melwood before agreeing on a deal that will see him spend a year long with the Reds.

Sahin is excited regarding his move to Liverpool and looking forward for the season with the Reds. The 23-year-old Turkish International is looking forward to play for the Reds and meeting the fans.

Sahin told Liverpoolfc.com, Sahin said ""I am happy to be here and I am looking forward to playing for Liverpool"

"It makes me proud to have joined such a big club like Liverpool Football Club. After the first conversation we had, I was left impressed by Brendan Rodgers. He told me about how he wants to play football and what the goals are he wants to reach with Liverpool"

"I am looking forward to meeting the fans. I hope it will be a nice year with trophies."

Sahin will definetly add more strength to Liverpool's midfield and it has given the Reds manager Brendon Rogers a boost. Rogers's has finally sealed the deal from Arsene Wenger's hands. Wenger had admitted Arsenal is no longer interested in the Turkish International as they were looking for a permanent deal rather than a season long deal for the player.

"We are delighted to welcome Nuri to Liverpool and also to say thank you to Real Madrid for loaning us such an exciting talent. Nuri Sahin is a player with great technique and motivation and someone who will fit in smoothly to our playing model" Rogers said
