Sergio Aguero sparked fears amongst Manchester City supporters on Sunday during his clubs opening Premier League game against Southampton.

Aguero looked in immense pain as he was fairly challenged by Southampton full back Nathaniel Clyne. The young defender took the ball from the City striker with a sliding challenge and accidently caught his knee on the way through. Luckily it has emerged that it looked a lot worse than what it was.

The 24-year-old key striker will only be out for a matter of weeks as apposed to months while he awaits his test results. Even for a team of City's calibre, facing weeks without a player like Aguero is a real problem, especially at this early stage of the season.

Up steps controversial Italian international striker, Mario Balotelli. The 22-year-old will be called upon to fill the vacant gap that will be left by Aguero, which is just the type of spotlight he thrives on.

Never shy of the media, Balotelli has always seemed to attract the public eye whether it be for a practical joke, a huge bar bill, or giving money to a sick patient, he always hits the news for the good, the bad and the ugly.

Love him or hate him there is no doubting his class and natural footballing ability. He's scored 27 vital goals since joining City in 2010 and possesses classy technical abilities. He has been in and out of the team under Roberto Mancini and now has his chance to prove his worth once again.

Another Controversial City striker will be happy to share the responsibilities up front, Carlos Tevez has had a storming start to his season and is on fire right now.

'Super Mario' as they call him will now await his call, another chance to get out on the pitch to ask his critics once again 'why always me?'
