Argentine striker Sergio Aguero has returned to Manchester City without having any playtime for his country. Aguero has been sidelined with a knee injury due to which the Argentine is out of action for his country's World Cup qualifier against Paraguay and Peru.

The 24-year-old striker picked up an injury during Manchester City's first game of the season against Southampton. Aguero was on the field for less than fifteen minutes and was taken out of the field on the stretcher.  However, Aguero was called to play for Argentina for the World Cup qualifier against Paraguay and Peru, creating a matter of worry for Roberto Mancini.

The Argentine International took on social networking website, Twitter to say he would be returning to Manchester City as he has not managed to shake off his knock in time to feature for his country. The player returned to Manchester City for further knee treatment.

"It seems I won't be able to make it to the Peru match - but the effort was still worth it, I'll continue the recovery work at Manchester" Aguero said.

"Rooting for to the guys for the Peru match, I hope I can join them next time. Returning to @MCFC now to ready for the upcoming challenge" Aguero went on to add.
