Manchester United star signing of the summer Robin Van Persie opened the gates for United against Fulham scoring in front of United fans at Old Trafford.  United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and their fans had a reason to celebrate as their star signing of the summer paid off immediately.

Van Persie's goal against Fulham was a reason for many Arsenal fans to feel uncomfortable. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger did not hesitate to say that even he was uncomfortable to see Van Persie score for United.

Wenger went on to admit that watching Van Persie score for United was torture. Arsenal manager and fans need to get used to it cause Van Persie would be the main man for United in Wayne Rooney's abscence.

"I must say it was a fantastic goal, a typical Van Persie goal. But what was a bit strange to me was that he had the wrong shirt on" Wenger said

"Why is he jumping around in a shirt like that? I don't know. I do know, but I don't like it too much."

Arsenal are yet to pick up a victory this season and has not managed to score a goal in this new campaign. Arsenal face Liverpool and if the Gunners still fail to find the net in the first half, it will set an unwanted Premier League record as their longest run without scoring at the start of a campaign.

Wenger has revealed that he is not worried about the current situation.

"We have not scored and we are not completely at our best going forward" Wenger said

"But I think that will happen very quickly. On the pitch, we look a team who is ready to fight together. At the moment I do not want to put too much pressure on them. You have to give players who have come in a bit of time to adapt to the league." Wenger went on to add.
