Sir Alex will make a few changes for the visit of Fulham tomorrow in eh FA Cup match at Old Trafford. Whilst he will almost certainly include what the media refer to as fringe players, Sir Alex refers to them as players who need game time. It is therefore almost a certainty that Wayne Rooney will lead the line up front, whilst Van Persie will be on the bench just in case he is needed. Sir Alex seems keen to do well in the FA Cup, having missed out since 2004.
It is likely that he will also give goalkeeper Lindegaard a game as the Spaniard De Gea has played a string of league games recently. Johnny Evans is training, but not 100% so he will not be risked, but I expect Vidic to play. Rio will probably be rested. The back four will almost certainly be Evra, Vidic, Jones and Rafael.
As far as midfield is concerned, Kagawa will almost certainly get a game as he takes a further step from his injury. With no Ashley Young, it is possible that Sir Alex will give Nani a game. If not, he will probably persevere with Valencia, with maybe Danny Welbeck playing on the left. Cleverley will probably complete the midfield.
With Rooney already pencilled in up front, it is likely that Sir Alex will opt to play with two up front, and that will mean that Hernandez will get a game.
Fulham have an awful record at Old Trafford and United are on a long streak without losing at home, so it would seem that on from at least, a home win is the most likely outcome. With Fulham also missing a few players, I expect United to complete a comfortable win over Fulham.
My prediction is a 3-0 win and progression into the next round.1020758
