Manchester United Transfer News: Nani Off To AC Milan?

In yet another interesting transfer rumour during the international break, Nani has been linked to AC Milan. The Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport mentions the interest from Italian giants AC Milan on their front page. The paper goes on to say that Nani is under 26-years of age and Milan retain the financial clout to agree on a transfer fee with Manchester United. The reason for the move seems to be Nani's growing frustration at staying on the United bench. It further states that Nani would possibly not command the transfer fees United paid to Sporting and that a move to AC Milan is in everyone's interests.

Nani has played 129 matches for United since joining the club in 2007 and has managed to find the net 26 times.  It should  be noted that Nani's contract runs out in 2014 and has not signed an extension yet. Although he still has two years to run on his current contract, given the embarassment of riches United suffer in attack this season, Nani's exit may indeed be in the best interest of both parties.Gazzetta Dello Sport, however, add a note of caution that Nani's move from United to AC Milan is a feasibility but whether it will happen cannot be confirmed.
