Manchester United are on the verge of signing 19-year-old Brazilian Lucas Moura from Sau Paulo. United defender Rafael da Silve claims he has told Sau Paulo midfielder Mourato join him at Old Trafford. United have already made a bid of £27 million bid which was rejected by the Brazilian side.
Moura has been strongly linked with a move to United in recent weeks and Sir Alex Ferguson's scout has been in constant touch with Sau Paulo officials. It is understood that United have made a bid of £32 million for the 19-year-old.
Rafael and Moura are currently on International duty representing their country in the London Olympics. The Old Trafford club was reported to have sent a delegation to Brazil to hold talks over a transfer for Lucas, who is currently in the UK with the Brazilian Olympic squad. Reports also claim Italian side Inter Milan are planning to hijack Lucas Moura's Manchester United transfer.
Rafael has urged Moura to join United when he recently spoke about his teammate to The Daily Mirror.
"Yes, I have told Lucas he should come to Manchester United, of course. If you saw the way we played at Middlesbrough you will know Brazilian players can play well in England."
The United full back has also admitted the life will be bit strange next season with his brother Fabio away on loan at Queens Park Rangers.
"It will be a different season for me with my brother Fabio being on loan at QPR," said Fabio. "We are always together, but maybe it will be good."
"We will speak when he is playing for QPR and see what happens." he added
United are favorites to sign Moura as the recent reports claims English Giants making their final bid of £32 million for the 19-year-old. Moura's addition to Boost United's squad to compete against their city rivals and current Premier League champions Manchester City. Will United be able to get another Brazilian in their side? With Ferguson having an amount of £50 million to spend in this summer Transfer, Moura would fit into Ferguson's budget and will be great addition to Current United squad.
