Having scored 6 goals in 17 matches this season, he has nailed down his starting role with the club whilst continuing to impress footbal coaches and pundits alike. Having been set back by injuries early in his young career, he has now come out shining and set for a good future ahead.

United Boss Sir Alex Fergsuon and his scouting team are known for recruiting young players from around the globe and although already having an impressive attacking line-up, there are concerns over the future of Mexican striker Javier Hernandez, who may well be weighing up his options for a move away from Old Trafford. Baptistao could well be seen as his replacement.

It is thought that a low fee of around £4 million should secure the deal although Vallecano will be eager to keep hold of their prize asset. However, with the current Premier League leaders United and La Liga giants Athletico Madrid both seriously in the hunt for the young Santos-born Brazilian, then it could prove to difficult for them to keep hold of him.

United are currently enjoying a good run in the Premier League with striker Robin Van Persie coming up with a bag full of crucial goals to see them sitting comfortably at the top of the table. Always ambitious, the Board and officials will be keen to start building for the future with the likes of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes looking finally set to retire this year.
