There has been various reports suggesting that Manchester United are closely watching 20-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder Francisco Roman Alarcon Suarez from Malaga.
The Spanish La Liga club have already sold two of their prize assets this season with the latest player Santi Carzorla joining Arsenal. There is sure to be a backlash from Malaga faithful if they allow Alarcon (or 'isco' as he is know for short) leave for United.
Isco is a highly rated midfielder who is skillful with the ball and exciting going forward. He likes to take players on and beat them, a real flair type player that makes things happen with his huge range of passing and technical ability. He has featured regularly for the Spanish youth international sides and has a real eye for goal.
Arsenal are also said to be interested in the youngster who has only been a Malaga player for 12 months. But it is United who are thought to have the upper hand. Barcelona were also interested in Isco and had scouted him last season many times, but they have turned their attentions towards other priorities and backed out of the running.
€20 million is the buy out clause in Isco's contract and neither United or Arsenal will have a problem with meeting this fee, both clubs are attempting to invest in good fluent attacking style players.
Isco has been described in the Spanish press as being a perfect replacement for Paul Scholes, boasting similar qualities to United's long time legend.
With the Lucas Moura saga in doubt, United will now focus elsewhere for their attacking inspiration.
