Anyone watching the Footballers Football Show on Sky earlier tonight, will have listened with interest when Ian Holloway, the manager of Crystal Palace, dropped the biggest hint yet that Wilfred Zaha will sign for Manchester United and be immediately loaned back to Palace to help them in their quest to get promotion to the Premier League.
Holloway was part of a panel of three managers and ex-managers that included Ady Boothroyd and Peter Reid who were asked about their clubs and ex-clubs. During the discussion, the host of the show asked whether Holloway was willing to state whether Zaha was going in the January transfer window or not.
For obvious reasons, he is not allowed to state anything categorically until any deal has been signed, but he did say cryptically that it was obvious that the deal had been done and where he was going, however, he also made it clear that the deal would not affect this season, which is a clear indication that Zaha will be loaned back to Palace for the remainder of this season as part of the deal.
I have broken this deal since before Christmas and it is now just a matter of time before the news is broken by United and Palace.
