As it is now becoming the custom for German clubs, Borrusia Monchengladbach are pitching their tent in Dubai. The Foals are taking advantage of the nice whether to prepare for the second half of the season and away from the cold and icy condition back home. The German top side end the first half of the season by drawing on the road against current league leaders Bayern Munich. In addition to their mid season preparation, they have also taken up ambassadorial role on behalf of DFL Deutsche Football Ligue, helping to further  increase the profile of then Bundesliga  in the middle East.

Dubai just like Qatar has been seen as an ideal location during the winter break, the temperature is expected to be between 20 and 26 degrees Celsius. However the team doctor Stefan Herti advised that the players have to ensure that they take 2-3 litres of water daily in other to avoid muscular problems.

Monchengladbach would play 3 friendly games, 2 would be against Bundesliga rivals – first against Hamburg SV on the 9th of January and the second game would be against Eintracht Frankfurt on the 11th of January. The games are expected to be shown live in 24 countries of the Middle East and North Africa. A third game is being arranged against a local side

The team manager Lucien Farve has every reason to cheer has he has fully strength squad and there are no injury concerns. His main concern would be for everyone to return back fit and healthy ahead of their first game at 1899 Hoffenheim.
