The Premier League and Brazil's Next Generation

Everyone knows that Brazil always produces some of the most talented players in the world. From Pele to Ronaldinho, they always produce some of the best players in the world. This era is no different. However it seems that the Brazilian talent of today, want to stay in Brazil for the near future.

This new thinking of Brazilian players appears to have started after Kleberson left Brazil for a move to Manchester United. Formally of Manchester United, he was seen as a real talent. However, it is thought that he left Brazil too early in his career and it halted his development. The likes of Neymar and Ganso have learnt from his mistakes and want to stay in their country for the foreseeable future.

However since Kleberson left Brazil in 2003, the level of wages in Brazil has grown massively and they are now on par with most of Europe. This looks to be the real reason why many young Brazilian players are staying put until fully developed.

Good Brazilian goalkeepers arrive every blue moon. Many think Dida and Julio Cesar are two of the best modern Brazilian 'keepers but others would argue they are average at best. This generation included Rafael. The Santos goalkeeper looks to have a bright future ahead of him but will he be a conventional Brazilian 'keeper and have a few mistakes in him? Many think so.

This generation are continuing to progress at international level and they are giving the Brazilian national team a solid balance of youth and experience. Thiago Silva, Marcelo and Hulk are the backbone of the side and are only helped out by this flurry of exciting youngsters.

Many Premier League fans would have seen their clubs being linked with certain players of the group and all this excitement can only benefit the game. Tottenham fans have been enjoying the fact of being linked with Leandro Damiao but this move may not happen as they might have hoped. The same can be said with Liverpool being linked with Lucas and Oscar being linked with a move to the European Champions.

This generation of players have been linked with moves to Europe but the big money moves will be for Neymar to Spain and Ganso to Italy. That's right. Arguably the two hottest prospects in Brazil won't be joining the Premier League. It seems every club wants to buy the next big superstar and set the world ablaze. However many look to be staying in South America for the foreseeable future, even though they are continuously linked with big money moves to Europe.
