Premier League News: Preview for May 5 and 6 Matches

After what happened during last few weeks and after lots of head scratching and permutations still I was not able to figure out who will lift the trophy. My heart says United all the way but the League table and City's form says something else.

So I thought the best would be to give the football lovers a preview and let them decide............

As last week we again look at matches that matter.

Let's get the ball rolling........

Arsenal vs Norwich

After impressive mid-week victories by Newcastle and Spurs suddenly the pressure seems to be on Arsenal. If Arsenal crack here then they are the ones to be blamed. Norwich have done exceedingly well in their first season after being newly promoted and they might well be looking at the next season. It's all to play for Arsenal. Come on Gunners........

Newcastle vs Man City

Newcastle ended Chelsea's hopes of 4th spot with an impressive win mid-week. They face Man City here at home and a victory would certainly keep them in race for Champions League spot should any of Spurs / Arsenal slip up. For City they cannot afford to play safe. Even a draw here can come to haunt them. Keep your fingers crossed...a humdinger of a contest waits

A Villa vs Tottenham

Harry Redknapp is out of England's Managerial race and with that you can assume Spurs to get back and play some nice football. Their last 2 games had showed that and you could hope that to continue in coming games. Spurs are in pole position for this one.

Man Utd vs Swansea

If City lose any points then it would be an excellent chance for United to go top. But irrespective of what City's outcome is it would be nice if United indulge themselves in a goal scoring fest which they did in the earlier part of the season. Tipping United to overcome Swansea's challenge and take the challenge to the final week.

QPR vs Stoke City

QPR have a chance this weekend to pull clear of the relegation zone against Stoke. QPR face Man City next week and it would be better to get the job done at home. Stoke have not been good travelers this season and with not much to look forward to this season you couldn't expect much from Stoke..

Blackburn vs Wigan

If Wigan manage a victory in this game then they will also be playing next season in Premier League. For Blackburn this could effectively mean relegation. Blackburn victory could keep them in the race for avoiding relegation. Wigan although are staying clear of relegation zone with some impressive football are not yet guaranteed safety .It's going to be a tight match with some late goals in it.

After waiting 274 days gone through 190 odd games with 1008 goals we could wait another week to find the Champions.
