Manchester United Step Up Their Attempts To Sign Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo

Reports on Monday suggest that Manchester United are still very much in the hunt to bring back their former player Cristiano Ronaldo, with certain financial implications surrounding the deal.

It had been reported by various press sources in the UK that new Manchester United Boss David Moyes was to engineer a deal for the unsettled Portuguese winger, who has spoke of his unhappiness at Real Madrid at times last season. Speculation about his future at Madrid has continued to grow and Ronaldo himself was quick to deny a recent report that he had signed a new contract with Madrid. 

The price could be an issue as the Portuguese International has two years remaining on his contract and it would certainly have to be a big money offer if Madrid would be prepared to let their superstar leave, however if the player is unhappy and wants the move, this could make the difference.

Chelsea Sign Bristol City Teenager Jacob Maddox

14-year-old Jacob Maddox is the subject of making his dream move from Bristol City's Academy to join London superstars Chelsea in a move that has been sealed, signing a 4-year-contract with the reigning Europa League Champions, according to Sky Sports.

Having been playing in City's Under-18s side last season, Maddox has emerged as one of the hottest young talents in the country and has been chased by a whole host of clubs, with Chelsea eventually wining the race. 

Bristol City have agreed compensation with Chelsea for the services of the youngster, who has allegedly tweeted on Monday from his Twitter account "I have officially signed for Chelsea, very pleased".

Jose Mourinho To Convince Marco Van Ginkel To Join Chelsea

According to De Telegraaf, new Chelsea Coach Jose Mourinho will contact Vitesse Arnhem midfielder this week, in an attempt to get the youngster to join Chelsea. 

The 20-year old has been the subject of a £15 million chase by Chelsea and Manchester United with both clubs wanting to secure the services of the highly rated youngster. Van Ginkel is a sought after prospect, Mourinho knows that and apparently will attempt to convince him to sign with his club. 

United also have a new Manager is the shape of David Moyes and reports suggest that he is also a keen admirer of Van Ginkel and will attempt to hijack the deal and bring him to Old Trafford. Moyes figures his midfield is the main area he needs to strengthen this season if his new club are to compete once again for the top trophies in football.

Manchester City And Real Madrid Make Bids For Spanish Star Isco

Spanish Under-21 superstar Isco has revealed on Monday that both Manchester City and Real Madrid have made official offers for his services, and he is set to decide which club he will be joining after Tuesday's Under-21 European Championship Final, according to Spanish Newspaper AS.

The creative midfielder is a supreme talent and is one of the most highly rated youngster in the world, lighting up the recent European Championship Tournament. He will now decide on whether he wants to take the short journey from Malaga to Madrid and join the reigning La Liga Champions, or move over to the UK and join big spending Manchester City who are creating a real super team during this summers transfer window and on paper, look like a very scary prospect to their rivals already.

The 21-year-old was quoted by The Spanish paper as saying "I know that both Manchester City and Real Madrid are huge clubs, and I hope that whatever I chose will be the best for me and Malaga". His current club Malaga are allegedly cash-strapped and would appreciate the funds coming in, so I presume Isco wants the club to recieve as much money as possible for his services.

Desperately trying to keep hold of their key player, Everton would like to think they can pursuade the Belgium International to stay, however the player himself has admitted uncertainty of his future in the past.

Arsene Wenger's Arsenal are the favourites to land his signature with the club being given a license to spend during this summer's transfer window. However, Chelsea are breathing heavily down their necks after shortlisting the versatile midfielder for a couple of seasons now and it's no secret they are admirers of his talents. Along with that, Fellaini's former Boss David Moyes is now at Manchester United and is ready to convinve him to join him at Old Trafford in an attempt to sure up his midfield.
