Tottenham have already been busy during the transfer window, signing Moussa Dembele from Fulham and Joao Moutinho from Porto. It seems the London club are still going however, with Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente looking set to be the next to arrive.

Sky Sports sources claim that Tottenham are looking to bring in the Spanish international on deadline day, after it emerged from the players agent that a Premier League club was also in for Llorente.

It was first thought that the 27-year-old was on his way to Juventus, but this since died down and Tottenham are now front runners in hot pursuit of his services.

Andre Villas-Boas has money to spend after midfielder Luka Modric joined Real Madrid earlier this week. He has somewhat began a re-building process at White Hart Lane and is chasing a whole host of talented players.

Llorente is an old-fashioned styled centre forward who is a real threat in the air. Having great physical power and an eye for goal makes him the perfect target man that will do well in the Premier League.

Tottenham are one of the busiest clubs during the transfer window along with Manchester City, who are looking to bring in five more players today as confirmed by manager Roberto Mancini.

Chelsea are also looking to add to their striking options, allegedly being in negotiations regarding Leverkusen German international attacker, Andre Schurrle.

This is why the English transfer window deadline day is considered as one of the most exciting days in the football calendar, bringing happiness and despair to many supporters around the world.
