When you mention the name 'Neymar' in world football today, it is with no doubt that he will be mentioned up there amongst some of the worlds best players. So it is no surprise to see the young Brazilian international linked with a host of top clubs.
Both Chelsea and Barcelona have been closely scouting the forward since he was as young as 15 and are both patiently awaiting his contract to run down in 2014.
Santos club president Luis Alvaro has been quoted as saying that the striker is 'priceless' and will not be selling him, thus keeping the player there for another year after Chelsea showed interest again this summer. But with his contract running down, Santos will definitely want to cash in on him before he will be available on a free transfer.
Chelsea are front runners, closely followed by Barcelona. It is thought that Neymar's preferred choice would be to head to London to join up with current Brazil team mates, Oscar Dos Santos, David Luiz and Ramires. Oscar has alreayd made a public plea for Neymar to join him at Chelsea and he would be keen to become top dog at the blues.
Barcelona will fight for his signature as well and the prospect of playing for the La Liga giants would be appealing to Neymar, but with the competition so tough, he will not be the main man there as he would be at Chelsea.
20-year-old Neymar has already clocked up 20 international appearances for Brazil and has took the footballing world by storm. He has pace, super fast feet, immense skill and the ability to ghost past defenders. He is quickly turning into one of the best strikers in the world offering the complete forward abilities.
