1. Joe Allen
According to Sky Sports, Liverpool are on the verge of completing a £15million deal for Swansea midfielder Joe Allen.
The 22-year-old midfielder was at Anfield last night to watch Liverpool beat Gomel 3-0 in the Europa League and manager Brendan Rodgers expects the deal to be completed within the 'next 24 hours'.
"I hope to conclude the deal in the next 24 hours. It is imminent. The fact he was here shows there has been some communication with Swansea."
Allen is one of the best central midfielders in England right now and had one of the best passing rates in Europe last season.
Even thought the Reds are slightly overpaying for the Welsh international, Allen will integrate well into Brendon Rodgers' system of play and holds the potential to become a great success at Anfield.
2. Robin van Persie
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has urged Arsenal attacker Robin van Persie to quit the Gunners and join United this summer.
"Of course [I'd want him to move]. He's a fantastic player that I admire. He's a fantastic player; he's been amazing for Arsenal over many years.
Last season was probably his best season of all-he scored lots of goals. If he does come here it would be a great addition to the squad."
The Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move to the Red Devils over the past few days and even though Arsene Wenger and Co. are adamant to keep hold of their captain, a transfer to United looks overwhelmingly likely.
After missing out on Lucas Moura and Eden Hazard, Old Trafford faithful would surely be pleased with the possible signing of van Persie and seeing the latter link up with Wayne Rooney to lead the club's attack from this season onwards.
Elsewhere, Arsenal are set to lose the race to sign Caen striker M'Baye Niang as the 17-year-old looks set for move to Serie A giants Milan.
3. Andre Schurrle
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are set to make an improved bid of £20 million (€25.3m) for Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle.
The Blues are reportedly keen on singing the German youngster and had an offer of €20.2 million rejected by the lad's club weeks ago.
Schurrle was one Bayer's best players last season was was even part of Joachim Low's Euro 2012 German squad.
His arrival at Stamford Bridge will provide Roberto Di Matteo with yet another young attacker and will add immense depth and attacking prowess to the team.
4. Julio Cesar
The Sun has reported that Tottenham Hotspurs are eyeing Inter Milan goalkeeper as a possible successor to the ageing Brad Friedel.
Even though the latter is expected to stay at White Hart Lane this term, Villa-Boas has been intensively searching for a long-term replacement for the American and sees Julio Cesar as the perfect target.
Apparently, the Brazilian international could be available on a free transfer too as long as Tottenham are willing to pay the goalkeeper's wages.
