According to the Telegraph, Manchester United flop Bebe is set to finally leave Old Trafford this summer.
Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon have shown interest in signing the 22-year-old and could table a bid for him in the next couple of days.
Bebe has just made seven appearances for Manchester United since joining the Red Devils in the summer of 2010 for a mammoth sum of £7.4 million.
Outgoing manager Sir Alex Ferguson had not even watched Bebe play before signings him, solely relying on the recommendation of Portugal national team coach Carlos Queiroz, the Scot's former assistant manager at United.
This news doesn't come as much of a surprise as only recently Bebe spoke about his woeful relationship with the club and Ferguson.
The youngster said in an interview with maisfutebol.iol.pt: 'I never took Manchester United seriously and never understood a word about what Alex Ferguson was saying.
'I thought, "I’m here, I’m doing well and I don’t have to try hard every day. It was my fault. I was messing around too much".'
'I went into the room and saw that he was looking for me, very concentrated. He told me to cut my hair, it will look better. So I cut it the same day. In the next training session, he didn’t recognize me. I went past him many times and he didn’t know me.'
Although David Moyes will take over the managerial helms at United next season, it is unlikely that Bebe will be in the 50-year-old's first-team plans.
He's never really impressed in the red shirt of Manchester and frankly, is not good enough to play for United.
Meanwhile, in other news it has also been reported that Arsenal have emerged as the favorites to sign United winger Luis Nani, who like Bebe, is certain to leave the English champions in the current transfer window.
