All Bayern have to do, to top group F is to match Valencia’s result against Lille who currently sit bottom of the group. BATE also have a chance to make it through to the Europa League if they match Lille’s result. So we should be expected an enthralling game as both clubs still have things to play for. Of cause it would make it better if Bayern needed a win or BATE could still qualify for the knockout stages but nevertheless we should still get a good game.

Bayern are currently top of the Bundesliga by eight points. Comparable to Bayern’s form, BATE also sit top of the Belarusian league by seven points. So both teams can attack and defend in their own right but which team will be most attacking tonight? I think we can probably guarantee that Bayern will play for a 1-0 win. They know that this will ensure them finishing top and they won’t want to play with an open defence.

BATE on the other hand don’t have much to lose. The Europa League will be a bonus on top of the Belarusian title. I predict that they will go out all guns blazing to ensure their path to the Europa League and to get the double over the German leaders. My prediction is a 2-1 win for BATE.

Vitali Rodionov is BATE’s top scorer in the Champions League with six goals and is a deadly threat for the Belarusian team. Amazingly Bayern’s top scorer in the Champions League is Claudio Pizarro with a mere three goals. Nevertheless the entire Bayern squad can pop-up and score for the German club.
