Who will win the English Premier League 2012-13?
The 4 main contenders are:
ARSENAL – The loss of Van Persie may not be as big as some people think it is, with the likes of Oliver Giroud, Lukas Podolski, & and Santi Cazorla all signing for the Gunners this summer. Some people will say that Arsenals failure to beat Sunderland at home shows how much they missed Van Persie, but there are 37 more league games to go. Arsenal had a poor start to last season when they lost a few key players and finished 3rd. This year they have a stronger team.
Player to shine – Santi Cazorla.
Finishing Position – 4th
CHELSEA – With Didier Drogba leaving the club for far off places, Fernando Torres will be the main striker and with new players such as Marko Marin, Eden Hazard & Oscar Dos Santos Emboada Junior this will be his time to shine. Chelsea have a much stronger team this year, I expect them to put a lot of pressure on the two Manchester teams. Their season will depend greatly on whether Torres and Hazard live up to their expectations.
Player to shine – Eden Hazard.
Finishing Position – 3rd
MANCHESTER CITY – Not knowing how long Sergio Aguero will be sidelined for and only Jack Rodwell as their main transfer, Man City will have to rely on the same team which won them the league in the dying seconds last season. With Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal strengthening their squads, this could be a testing time for Mancini’s men.
Player to shine – Carlos Tevez.
Finishing Position – 2nd
MANCHESTER UNITED – With June signing. Shinji Kagawa, Scoring his first goal for Man Utd against Shanghai Shenhua in a pre-season friendly in China and recent acquisition Robin Van Persie, Sir Alex has made his intentions clear. With the return of Nemaja Vidic from long term injury, Man Utd has a much stronger squad this season. As long as Van Persie stay injury free, Utd will be difficult to beat.
Player to shine – Robin Van Persie.
Finishing Position – 1st
