This morning, Spotify was finally made available in the U.S.
The Europe-based cloud music service signed deals with all four U.S. major labels, with Wednesday's last-minute deal with Warner Music Group as the floodgate for its powerful launch.
Spotify allows you to listen free to any track you like, among a huge library of over 15 million tracks. You can drop the track into playlists and share with your friends.
The free, basic plan with advertisement is currently available on an invite basis.

Why should you invest? Two things that make Spotify stand out, according to Charlie Sorrel of Wired, are the software experience and the catalog. It's very rare to come across anything that is missing in Spotify, which will also scan your iTunes library and give you access to the same tracks in the Spotify app, said Sorrel. The service also prides its speed and quick response, and further features Spotify Social that allows you to share tracks with other users.
Spotify has 10 million users in Europe alone, although most are non-paying customers. The service allows users to find new music with simple search and offers them thousands of free songs. It also has a number of subscription based packages. Its revenue is generated from both subscriptions and advertisements. It shares royalties with record companies and reports indicate in some European countries, Spotify is the music industry's number one source of revenue.
According to Billboard.biz, Spotify has brought on premium brands such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, Chevrolet, Motorola, Reebok, Sonos and The Daily as its exclusive launch partners, who will launch innovative campaigns in partnership with Spotify in the coming weeks and months.
