Traveling in early spring can be nightmarish, what with the sun-starved crowds yearning for a vacation and students kicking off their spring break trips.

But according to a Hotwire.com report released Thursday, taking a “spring break” doesn’t have to be the headache of the season. The budget travel website compiled data from 2017 to determine the best last-minute spots for spring break travel — and included the cities that had better savings opportunities when compared to deals in 2016.

The findings were compiled using travel information from April 10-16 travel dates measured against travel costs from the same dates last year. Room prices were based on the Hot Rate Hotels that were searched March 8, 2017.

Guadalajara, Mexico: Prices for this warm getaway are 15 percent lower than last year’s, according to Hotwire. Grab a four-star hotel for $56 a night.

TripAdvisor also compiled data around its site’s most popular spring destinations and looked at how travelers could get the most for their money at each location. Popular travel destinations included Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Anaheim, California, among other locations.
