Sri Lanka's army captured entire Puthukkudiyiruppu area, the last base station of the LTTE or Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam terrorists on Sunday after three days of gun battle, army said in its website.

Troops recovered more than 250 dead bodies of LTTE terrorists today, taking the total number of dead bodies recovered in the past three days to 420. Troops confirmed the death of senior LTTE leaders Gadafi, Nagesh, Teepan, Durga and Vidusha. Troops also recovered large stock of arms from the area.
